Sound baths, or in general the experience of sound healing, have become pretty common in yoga, wellness, and spiritual communities. One is invited to sit or lay down to indulge in the immersion of sound vibrations and tones produced by some unlikely instruments. The vibrational frequencies of sound healing instruments like crystal bowls have the ability to move through skin, fluid, and bones of the body, creating a full body relaxation and recalibration down to the level of the cellular structure. The experience creates an environment of “resonance” within the body. It’s not only the mind that is relaxed and pacified into a peaceful state but calms the frequencies in the brain.
